Women Groups to Benefit from Bunyoro Affairs Micro Projects Support

As the Government of Uganda continues to plan and employ efforts more efforts into comprehensive development for all, the tremendous efforts of the mothers of this nation cannot be trumped over, and with the efforts from the District and members of Parliament from Kibaale 5 women groups from Kibaale that include; Kirika Agahikaine Women’s Group, Tweheyo Farmers Group Igomero, Kanaga Women Entrepreneurs Group, Kitooga Bafakati Tukurakurane Women’s Group, Abeteraine Kituntu Women’s Group at  are set to receive 16,050,000 from the OPM under Bunyoro Affairs Micro Projects Support.

While orienting the 5 women groups about the Bunyoro Micro Projects Support fund the Deputy CAO Habib Abubakar who chaired the meeting said that each group will receive 3,000,000 each and the fund is set to be used fruitfully to enhance their capacity in development. He tasked the groups to exhibit exemplary behaviors while investing the money so that other groups can get a chance of also benefiting in future.  He further informed the members that the fund wasn’t refundable but follow up will be made by responsible officers to make sure it is well utilized. He told them if used well it will multiply and improve their livelihoods.

The Deputy CAO urged them not to neglect the UWEP and asked members to be on the watch for any extortion from any civil servant and always inform the responsible offices to fight the vice if it so happens.

The beneficiaries that include; Kirika Agahikaine Women’s Group, Tweheyo Farmers Group Igomero, Kanaga Women Entrepreneurs Group, Kitooga Bafakati Tukurakurane Women’s Group, Abeteraine Kituntu Women’s Group expressed gratitude and hailed the District Leadership and the area members of Parliament but at mostly the Government for including them in the ladder of development. They pledged to use the money to improve their lives.
