Kibaale Health Department receives a Blood Bank Refrigerator and 100 Mattresses

 

Minister of Finance, Matia Kasaija in partnership with Insurance Regulatory Authority of Uganda has donated 100 mattresses to Kibaale health department as a hand to elevate the health standards in the district.

 Minister Kasaija handed over the donation as he commissioned a blood bank refrigerator donated by one Henry Kwaligonza a staff of Uganda Revenue Authority during a function at Kibaale Health Center IV.

 Health facilities that benefited from the Mattress donated by IRA in conjunction with Kasaija include; Kibaale Health center IV that received 20 mattresses, Mugarama Health center III, EMESCO Health center IV, Bujuni, Bubango, Maisuka, Kyebando, Matale, Nyamarwa received 9 mattresses each and eight mattresses were given to Buseesa medical centre 3.

At the function, Minister Matia Kasaija reassured the electorates that Kibaale health center IV will soon be upgraded to a Hospital status stressing that he will lobby funds for construction of a perimeter wall for the facility as he tasked the Sunday Christopher Kyomya the CAO Kibaale to come up with a budget.

 Ibrahim Rubega the executive director Insurance Regulatory Authority of Uganda says that the donation of mattresses is timely and that it is out of the lobbying capacity of the leaders of the district.

 Henry Kwaligonza, who donated the Blood bank refrigerator, says that it is incumbent up on the community to make such contributions that can develop the area.

James Asiimwe, the assistant District Health Officer Kibaale and Joseph Magara the acting in-charge Kibaale Health Center IV says that the donation will help bridge a big gap of blood shortage in the district.
